Last-minute printing: how to get something on paper in the next hour

Print@ guides · updated 2026-10-03

The clock is running. Here is the order of operations that gets you paper fastest.

Minute one: get the file ready

Export it as a PDF. Check the page count. If it is a form, flatten it. Put it somewhere you can attach it from your phone: email it to yourself or save it to Files.

Minute two: pick the place

Minute five: confirm

If you emailed a shop, call to confirm they saw it. Email filters are the most common reason a last-minute job is not ready when you arrive.

The mistakes that cost a second trip

Print@ does this from the Print dialog on a Mac: pick Print@ Nearby, and it finds the closest shop or public printer, sends the file, and gives you a pickup code. From a phone, send a file to a Print@ Network shop.
